A Modern Discovery

Kunzite entered the gemstone world at the beginning of the 20th century after gem-quality crystals were identified in California. The gemstone was named in honour of renowned mineralogist and gem expert George Frederick Kunz.

Its beautiful pink to violet colour quickly attracted attention, and Kunzite has since become one of the most recognisable gem varieties of the mineral spodumene.
