The idea of a creating a custom made ring with a personalised inscription totally grabbed me, especially in a world where we don’t celebrate our uniqueness nearly enough! I loved the idea, but I’m not creative at all, so I was very nervous that I wouldn’t be able to do justice to something I desperately wanted to be both inspiring and meaningful.

I realised when thinking about the potential inscription, that everything I will ever want or need, will need to come from deep within me. That I myself will need to keep finding the inspiration, goals, passion, hard work and growth from within me, to direct and navigate my future – just like I’ve always done in the past. That led me to list down words connected to “self” that really matter to me, such as self-belief, self-respect, self-confidence, self-discipline, self-care, self-determination, self-awareness, self-acceptance and self-love.

I wanted to be able to look at my ring forever and feel pride, courage, confidence and be reminded of all that I’ve done in my life, but also all that I’m still capable of doing. I wanted to feel safe, powerful, soulful, authentic, and optimistic when wearing my ring, and it was Nadine who turned everything I felt and described into this incredibly elegant piece.

Every element of the ring, means something significant to me and tells my story. From the rare gemstone, Oregon Sunstone (suggested by Nadine because of it’s meaning) and its captivating multi-faceted cut which gives it a fiery warmth and radiant depth, to the larger and delicate diamonds connected yet leading out in multiple directions. I also love how the yellow and white gold work together, because it compliments my other jewellery and brings everything important to me together.

I’m simply in awe of my ring and how it came to be! I could never have imagined creating or owning anything so beautiful or impactful, yet now I get to wear this gorgeous piece every day for the rest of my life.I can’t thank you enough Nadine, for making the process so warm and satisfying. You are an incredibly skilled and intuitive jewellery designer…this entire experience has been the most surprising and magical gift.
